Victoria
This female West Highland White terrier cross was found wandering on Sweep Road in Ballykeeran Tuesday 15th May at 10am. It was in a terrible condition so the finder decided to contact the ASPCA. Paul responded to the call immediately took the dog to Athlone Veterinary Clinic in Connaught Street, Athlone. The vet confirmed it has a severe case of sarcoptic mange and overgrown nails. Obviously it has been neglect for up to a year indicated by the length of the nails. There are also rope marks on her neck where she obviously had been tied. She will need care and treatment and is currently in the capable hands of Athlone Veterinary Clinic at Connaught Street. She was then cared for at the ASPCA Rescue Centre, Tubberclair, Athlone.
