PAWS
The Peoples Animal Welfare Society, since 1997, has rescued, vaccinated, neutered and rehomed thousands of dogs and cats, and as a result of their neutering and spaying programmes has prevented millions of unwanted puppies and kittens being born and consequently dumped in ditches, dustbins and dog pounds.

The Irish Monkey Sanctuary
Ireland’s only monkey sanctuary and home to 16 rescued Capuchin monkeys which live on islands on a lake, 2 Japanese macaques, a De brazza guenon, as well as numerous dogs, cats, horses and free ranging birds, including emus ,parrots, ducks, geese, chickens and guinea fowl.
The sanctuary is a registered charity and is not open to the public in order to minimize stress for the animals and to let them live out their lives as naturally as possible, as many of them come from poor backgrounds.
